Art Market and Giveaways going on

Art Market is this weekend in Salt lake, been working on these vintage lace skirts. They are all a little bit different. Just because we're all a little bit different! Some pretty womens skirts from this last weekend show. I tend to go all monocramatic antique or bright and fun mixes!!! I have a hard time putting them up in the shop unless I have a size range, most of these are made in such small quantity's that I rarely get them in the shop. Spring keeps trying to come to our little town, but the lows are still around 30's at night!! At least most of the snow has melted.... Tulips are just breaking through and thinking about coming out of hibernation. Spring is such a renewal! A promise of new life!! Hope you are getting excited for what's to come!! Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh we've been busy around here. So we live in this 100 + year ols church and we started to rent it out for receptions. I really thought I'd just have to unlock doors and show them where everything is. Nope! Wrong! You are kinda needed throughout the day. Just for little things and decorating advice, photography advice and detective advice ( everybody looses something or someone) . So I'm sewing like crazy to get ready for this super fun Spring Show tomorrow.!!! I hope those close enough can make it!! There is super cute original stuff there not to mention the BEST!!! Handmade chocolates for Easter!!! I'll have a lot of fun "Flea Market " skirts for Women there too!

We've had so much snow !!!! And our lake freezes over that you can do all kind of things on it during the winter. My Fav is X-country skiing. Dave's is snowmobiling

Pinks are starting to show up...W

With Valentines coming up pinks are starting to roll into the shop! There will be an open house at Madeleine L' Amour on the 23rd. Lots of new pretties will be there!

It's fun having my daughters home. They have been helping me with photo shoots forever. Either modeling in them or setting up backgrounds or accessorizing. I put Riza in charge of doing hair and just said I want some fun braids. I love what she came up with , with so little direction. It also helps that Asia has great hair.

New Year , New Things

Getting ready for spring 2013! Crazy to me. Just because every year I think I'm going to be ahead a little bit. But always a little behind. It's o.k. sometimes my best ideas come during crunch time. My brain tends to go into overdrive and some fun things happen in my sewing room. This year I hope to be a little better, meditate more,create more,laugh more,love more. Breathe in wonder and thankfulness, exhale worry and doubt. Try new things,music,food, sports & company. Be present & listen more.... The list isn't complete, I'll add on more as the year gets going. I've been working on orders and they have all been sent out, except for two , that will be sent out tomorrow. Such a great feeling to finally be done!!!! Now I can start sewing for my family. There have been so many years where they have gotten the uncut fabric, wrapped up with a picture of what I'm going to make them. But Not this year! whooo hooo .
