Happy Birthday Sista!!!

I had my birthday last week, it was fun of course, but I really missed spending it with my sis! She's my twin actually, and my mom said that I cried until I heard her cry then I settled down. She also said when they would put us to sleep in the crib, we'd move and wiggle until we were touching, then we'd fall asleep. The problem is she lives half way around the world, in Singapore to be exact! But we talk or connect everyday!! Sisters are amazing I have two others that I adore, but having someone so close that you just about shared most of your growing up together is lucky! So call your sis today if you haven't yet!!

Demolition Derby

Our next door neighbor was in the Demolition Derby, here in Cache Valley and she made it to the finals in this truck!! It's pretty brutal if you've ever watched one! Can't decide which pictures to use, so I thought I'd share the out takes with ya all!

Open house today ! Sale in shop

Open house today 3-6pm, tons of new stuff!! But I was also thinking that it's not really fair for those who live to far away. Sooo today we're doing 20% off in my Etsy shop. If you've been keeping your eye on something, today is the day to buy. I'll take off the difference at checkout. So it will kinda be an open house for everyone today!!! Have a fabulous weekend!! Some new Gypsy's

I love using vintage fabrics, and I think part of the reason is the hunt for something beautiful.When I first started making purses ( about 14 years ago!)and , I would get the upholstery fabric samples from some retailers that were just throwing them away. Most of the time they were just one color, so I would end up appliqueing something on them to make them more interesting and beautiful.I call it the "the across room factor". Make something that is unique enough that it makes you want to cross the room to go see it.And a lot of vintage fabrics have that quality. Most of these fabrics are from Estate sales, and just have another era feel to them, they are so gorgeous!!
