Zerin our Grad!!!

Hurrah!! Zerin graduated from High school yesterday!! He's always been our big happy,easy going kid. It's interesting , while we're sitting there watching all these graduates receiving their diploma,I start to reflect on all the excitement I had for my dreams. I still feel that way when I wake up some days! Just need to start accomplishing them.

Fusia!

I dyed a lot of fabric today, I like to just make color piles when I'm getting ready to sew a purse. So I'll just gather pieces that I think might want to go together, put them down on the fabric. Then I'll let them sit there while I sew other things. That way I can keep looking at them and hopefully get inspired on how to put them all together. I should of taken some of the different layouts I had of the ribbons, trims and lace. So today some pinks got put together, then we're onto the greens.

Makeup bags

Finally getting makeup bags done! I Like doing them, they just take longer to get done for some reason. Also some new vintage purses.
Piper, who's 8, has decided that she's old enough to mow a section of lawn, we kinda have a big lawn, so each kid took one section. She Liked it so much that she made a deal with the other kids. If they would pay her $2.00 she would do their section. Needless to say she earned $6.00 extra today.

Had to buy this new beach towel, so much fun ( it's at T.j.Max). I just loved the color and pattern. When I went in to design today, I just had to put this purse together, before I started on other orders, funny where inspiration will come from.

One day I will be warm again

I'm glad I got to meet so many other artist at these shows! So many talented people out there.Today was nutty, we had a photographer come to our house to take pictures for an article on people who have changed churches into homes. As I was cleaning ect. I kept thinking of all these projects we've had in mind,since we've moved in. I wished I had another week just to finish some decorating projects.Our bathroom is done with all different tiles from Mexico , but we haven't painted the walls yellow yet.I kept waiting for a warm day to finish. The kitchen is still all white just waiting for some paint and new knobs for the cupboards, art work I still haven't framed for our gallery walls.... So now I have a quick list and a long list of projects to finish this summer.If it will only start feeling like summer soon.

Nalisa's Gift show

So if you missed the Beehive Bazaar or Piper and Chloe, there is a show this week, May 12th and 13th at Nalisa's house in SaltLake .Glitter toes are awesome for summer ( when it gets here) When I was in Cali this summer my friends all had them and even being at the beach they lasted for months!! Some pictures of some new women skirts. I've been working with more appliques and these new ones have lace inserts and fun borders on the bottom! Now I just want to get fun,unique sandals to wear with these skirts.

Just Be... pendents

My lovely friend Mindy works for the M.O.R.E. project which is doing fabulous things for moms and children in Brazil. Check out their site for more info, you'll be blown away at all the stuff they do!The last trip Mindy took down there, she wore my Just be.. necklace. She said the kids loved it and just would play with it when it was around her neck. So I thought I would make up some for my friends. You can either hook it onto your purse ring, use it as a key chain or just buy it plain to wear on a chain... The backs are birds or the saying " miracles in the everyday". Which is just a little reminder to seek them out! Miracles are everywhere!We participate in them everyday and sometimes don't even realize it!!

Will spring get here soon??? I feel like I'm still living in Oregon. I have two fabulous shows this week one south at Thanksgiving Point, Beehive Bazaar puts on a great show, plus now it's at Thanksgiving point and all the baby animals are there, so maybe hubby could watch the kids while you shop, perfect date if you ask me. And the other one is at my house, come by say high, get something for yourself or for your Mum.Even if it doesn't feel like spring outside, it will inside!
